BECCA DALRYMPLE

Becca Dalrymple has over 30 years experience in the sport of gymnastics as a competitor and a coach.  Since 1996, when she retired from collegiate competition at UW-LaCrosse, she began work at TAGS Eden Prairie, working with preschool, recreational, compulsory, and optional team levels, and served as Preschool Program Manager 2008-2010. In 2013, Becca moved to Ham Lake and joined the Flyaways Gold family.

Becca is a former marathoner and elite level triathlete, but hung up the running shoes in 2011 due to knee surgery. She enjoys biking, yoga, CrossFit, hiking, camping, fishing and cooking delicious meals with friends and family.

Monthly PNO events are fun-filled evenings of activities led by enthusiastic instructors often celebrating a particular theme. Kids will play games, take a snack break, enjoy open gym time, and make arts and crafts. The calendar changes frequently, so be sure to check in the lobby or on our online calendar for upcoming dates and times (typically, drop of is 6:30pm and pick-up is at 10pm).

  Complete the registration form. Upon completion, return the form to the front desk along with the annual registration fee. The annual registration fee covers administrative costs as well as a medical insurance policy through Flyaways Gold Gymnastics, Inc. and MD2B, Inc of Forest Lake, MN.
  
  Each gymnast enrolled at Flyaways Gymnastics must have PRIMARY MEDICAL INSURANCE COVERAGE through their family insurance.  No child will be permitted to participate without proof of medical insurance.
  
  Flyaways Gold reserves the right to cancel or shorten any class with less than four children enrolled. Parents will be notified of the shortened class in advance.
  

  Session Tuition Payments:

  All participants are to complete the registration form and submit it with the appropriate registration fee and tuition, as well as provide a credit card for automatic payment.  Your card will be charged in easy monthly payments for your child’s class session.   Early registration is recommended to ensure a place in the class of your choice.  We do not give refunds or credits for missed or dropped classes after the session begins. Session tuition will be pro-rated if registration occurs after the session begins.

  Our Stars program is specifically designed for the future USAG Junior-Olympic competitive gymnast.  Participation is by invitation-only, and gymnasts can expect to be in each level for two to four terms before advancing to each new level.  Participation in summer training is expected.  Our staff is committed to acclimating these younger athletes accordingly and are experienced in presenting an age-appropriate curriculum supported by an enthusiastic and positive approach.

  Stars                                  5-7 yrs

  Progressions are based on fundamental skills. Emphasis is on strength, flexibility, correct body positioning and terminology.  Class is 85 minutes in length and instructors recommend attending twice weekly, especially for six- and seven-year olds.

  SuperStars                         5-7 yrs

  The second level of this program, where again specific progressions are based on fundamental skills.  Continued emphasis is on strength, flexibility, correct body positioning and terminology.  In this level, young gymnasts begin to acclimate to a bi-weekly training schedule (85-minute classes are required twice weekly), and older athletes are encouraged to enroll in three classes weekly.

  Developmental class curriculum is specifically designed to meet the needs of girls aged five and up.  We hold three 14-week terms during the school year, and one 7-week term during the summer.

  Term 1:  Aug 27-Dec 1st, 2012 (14 Weeks)                    Term 3:  Mar 11th - June 8th , 2013 (13 Weeks)

  Term 2:  Dec 3rd - Mar 9th, 2013 (13 Weeks)               Summer:  June 10th - Aug 24th, 2013 (10 Weeks)

   

  Beginner                                 55 minutes

  Introduction to basic body shapes and skills, arm positions and terminology. Gymnast will train on all four events as well as receive an introduction to strength training and flexibility.

  Intermediate I                          55 minutes

  Building on the skills learned in Beginner, students will add more progressions to the basic body shapes, arm positioning, and terminology, gymnasts will focus on technique of learned and new skills as well as exploring more strength training and flexibility. Must have a Cartwheel and a Forward roll upon entrance of class.
